Nepal President greets people on its Republic day

Kathmandu: Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari has greeted their people on its Republic Day today and wished all its citizens to move ahead for building peaceful, prosperous, balanced and inclusive federal democratic republic Nepal on the basis of unity and cooperation.

In her Republic Day message delivered today, President Bhandari said that political conflict and transition, the country has been facing for a long period,the Nepali people have become fully sovereign with the promulgation of the constitution through the historic Constituent Assembly, reports The Himalayan Times.

Maximum utilisation of available internal means and resources, modernisation of agriculture, tourism development, environment conservation, infrastructure development for the country’s overall development, modernisation of industrial sector and creation of the employment opportunities should be the focus of the state in the aftermath of the promulgation of the constitution.

Similarly, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has extended best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad on the occasion of ninth Republic Day.
He added that the country’s attention should be paid to making the people residing in every place of the country to feel the social and economic transformation thereby materialising the dream for a prosperous and progressive Nepal.

The enforcement of the constitution and building of a prosperous Nepal along with the social transformation should be the collective efforts of the Nepali citizens, the vice president said.

Meanwhile, extending best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad on the occasion of the Republic Day today, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli said that the constitution has ensured the rights of indigenous, ethnic communities, women, Dalits, marginalised, Muslims, Tharus and backward communities residing in the country with protecting its cultural, linguistic and religious diversities.
