Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old youth was stabbed to death over an old enmity here on Sunday. His friend who tried to intervene and save him was injured in the incident, which occurred at around 11:30 pm in Raoji Bazar area, said police.
The next morning, the family members of the deceased blocked the road in protest, carrying posters of the accused and demanding strict action against them. Police reached the spot and pacified the protestors.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Raj Kushwaha, a resident of Gadi Adda while the injured person was identified as Saurabh Verma. The accused were identified as Shubham Phuleria, Rohan Verma and Prateek . They all lived in the same colony. Raj owned a garage. Raoji Bazar police station in-charge Amod Singh Rathore said that the victim and the accused had an old enmity.
A few weeks ago, Raj had mistakenly hit Shubham with a stick during ‘garba’ and an altercation had taken place between them. Raj’s friend Vishal told the police that he and his friends Raj and Saurabh had gone to Light House Club where Raj received a call from Rohan Verma on his mobile. Rohan started abusing Raj and called him to Raoji Bazar.
When the trio reached there, Rohan, Shubham Phuleria and Prateek surrounded Raj. Shubham and Prateek caught hold of Raj and Rohan stabbed him with a knife in his thighs, hand and private parts. When Saurabh rushed to intervene, Rohan stabbed him too in the hand. Raj and Saurabh were taken to MY hospital where Raj was declared brought dead. The police registered a case against the accused under sections 103(1), 296, 3(5) of the BNS and arrested all three accused.
