Indore : Reviving the love for books, DS Events is celebrating ‘World Book Day’ with ‘CREATE Stories Kitabon Ki’ on Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm at Chai Kappi with books, stories and ideas.

Countries celebrate the day every year to promote power of books among people in order to bring them together as well as disseminate variety of cultures to other people. The day is celebrated to promote education among young people as well as underprivileged ones.

Talking about the event, organiser Deepak Sharma said, “We have observed that adults from economically stable families tend to move away from books and literature.” He explained the major reason is digitalisation and electronic entertainments.

“We are just trying to help people gather around and experience the magic of touching a paper and reading a book, magazine or newspaper,” Sharma said. He elaborated that reading helps in brain development while TV and other media sources inhibit mind development.

Quoting the activity in the event, Sharma said, “We have planned to take people back to their childhood with comic books and cute fairytales.” He explained that the magic of fairytales and cartoon world has ruled almost everyone’s childhood and there is no better way to experience the book world.
