Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 45-year-old man attempted to end his life by climbing to the fifth-floor window of a hospital in Indore on Saturday. This was his second suicide attempt after he slit his wrist using a knife and was admitted to the hospital.

The man named Siyaram attempted to take his life by climbing to the fifth-floor window of Aurobindo Hospital in Indore.

The scene was recorded by onlookers, and in the footage, the man can be seen standing on the window, appearing to either attempt to jump or engage in some other uncertain action.

The incident took place after he broke the grill of the hospital's toilet to reach the window. He was on the window for nearly three hours, trying to jump, which caused concern among hospital staff and his family.

Siyaram had been admitted to the hospital on Friday night after attempting to cut his wrists with a knife at home.

His family rushed him to the hospital for medical attention, hoping to help him recover from his distress. However, the situation escalated when he tried to climb out of the toilet window.

The hospital staff worked tirelessly to persuade Siyaram not to take such a drastic step.

Meanwhile, Indore Metro’s crane was brought in to help rescue him. Rajeev Singh, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Aurobindo Hospital, explained that the rescue operation was in progress, and Siyaram was safely brought back inside just before the crane reached him.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the hospital team and the rescue workers, Siyaram was saved and brought to safety, avoiding any further harm.

His family and hospital officials are now focusing on providing him with the emotional and psychological support he needs.
