Indore : Piping the last year’s winner Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar) to the post, University of Mumbai, on Monday picked up the overall championship trophy at the 30th Inter-University National Youth Festival and become the champion for the 13th time.
Last year, University of Mumbai was the runners-up. A team of 40 odd members from the Mumbai varsity stood first in five out of 24 competitions. The team emerged winner in Classical Vocal Solo, Folk Orchestra, Quiz, Mime and Poster Making competitions.
The host, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), won only one competition — Spot Photography. It stood second in Classical Instrumental Solo, and third in Classical Vocal Solo, Collage Making and Group Song (Indian).
