Bhopal/Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Ujjain is set to welcome Madhya Pradesh's first government-owned cultural auditorium with highest-- 1000 seating capacity. The state-of-the-art facility is being constructed near the Science College on Dewas Road at an estimated cost of ₹20 crore. The facility will be operated by the Science College authorities.

The five-story structure will cater to large-scale events, addressing a long-standing need for a sizable venue in the state. Currently, venues like Vikram Kirti Mandir and Kalidas Academy can only accommodate 250-300 people, while larger events rely on temporary arrangements at grounds like Dussehra Maidan or Kartik Mela Ground.

According to information, nearly 50% of the construction work has been completed. The auditorium is expected to be inaugurated by June next year. Talking to media persons, Dr. Harish Vyas, Principal of Science College, said, "This will be the first auditorium in Madhya Pradesh with such a large capacity. The Science College will oversee its management and offer it for government programs and private events.

The auditorium will also feature ample parking facilities, matching its 1,000-seater capacity. Its design includes multiple audience galleries to enhance the viewing experience. Several public and private events are in line to be organised after the inauguration.
