Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): With the increasing number of devotees during the final week of Shravan and the upcoming festivals, Ujjain Police have strengthened security measures in and around the Mahakaleshwar Temple.

On Saturday, additional police forces were deployed in the temple premises and surrounding sensitive areas. Mahakal Police Station officials carried out regular checking of suspicious individuals, monitored barricades, and increased patrolling with the help of women police personnel throughout the day.

Special attention is being given during the Bhasma Aarti and Sandhya Aarti to manage the crowd effectively and prevent incidents like theft, pickpocketing, or disorder.

Advisory issued by Ujjain police:

CCTV cameras are being actively monitored to keep an eye on suspicious activities.
Mobile teams and help centers have also been set up near the temple to assist visitors.

Attach ID slips with the name, address, and contact number around the necks of children, elderly, or differently-abled individuals.

In case any suspicious object or person is noticed, inform the nearby police personnel immediately.

Stay calm in crowds and follow all instructions given by police.

Also, Ujjain Police request the cooperation of all devotees to ensure a safe, peaceful, and well-managed ‘darshan’ for everyone visiting Baba Mahakal.
