Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): To ensure that devotees get a systematic darshan of Lord Mahakal on the sawari route, collector Raushan Kumar Singh and SP Pradeep Sharma inspected the sawari route of Lord Mahakal on Saturday evening.
They directed the concerned officials to install indicators on the procession route for the convenience of the devotees, provide medical facilities at various places on the route and to make arrangements for drinking water and lighting.
In view of the safety of the devotees, collector directed to complete the work of demolishing the dilapidated building on the sawari route, necessary barricading on the route, closing the traffic on the barricading on the culvert connecting Ramghat to Dutt Akhara Ghat during rain before the beginning of the month of Sawan.
During the inspection, collector directed to remove unnecessary hoardings, banners and to cover the poles by putting necessary plastic sheets and to arrange the electric wires.
After inspecting the Sawari Marg, collector inspected the flooring work and other construction work being done in Shri Mahakal temple and instructed to do all the work at a fast pace and according to quality standards. He instructed to complete the flooring work in the Lord Shri Omkareshwar temple area located in the temple premises before July 10.
During the inspection, ADM Pratham Kaushik, Ujjain Municipal Corporation commissioner Ashish Pathak, PWD executive engineer Gautam Ahirwar, Ujjain City SDM LN Garg and other officials of the concerned department were present.
