Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic incident was reported from Madhya Pradesh's Neemuch district where, a factory supervisor died after being struck by a train while he was chasing thieves away on Saturday evening.

As per reports, Gheesalal Sharma, 52, of Barekhan Chotisadri village, supervisor at CCI factory, Nayagaon, jumped over a wall to chase the thieves who stole the factory's scrap material and managed to escape.

Other factory employees had initially chased the thieves, but Gheesalal was the only one who chased them over the wall. However, during the chase, he was hit by a train.

Following the accident, the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrived at the scene. In an injured state, Gheesalal was given first aid on the Neemuch railway platform. Afterwards, he was taken to the district hospital. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

His body was later handed over to his family members after postmortem. Expressing sorrow, Roop Singh Rathore, a friend and security guard at the factory, said that Gheesalal had been a loyal worker since the age of 18. Until his death, he worked for 32 years at the factory.
