Indore : A trader falls victim to a ploy by a man on the road on the pretext of help. The unidentified accused made him stop and said that his money had fallen on the road. When the trader stopped his bike to pick up the notes, the accused decamped with his bag containing cash and ATM cards.
Abdul Rahman told Central Kotwali police that the incident occurred when he was returning after collecting payment from Siyaganj area on Monday evening. He had kept the collected cash in a leather bag and hung it on his bike’s handle. As soon as he reached in front of Cloth Market Co-operative Bank, a man came from behind and asked him to pick up his notes that had fallen on the road. He stopped his bike and started picking up notes behind him. When he came back to the bike, both the bag containing cash and the man had vanished into thin air. The bag contained Rs 20,000, three ATM cards and documents.
