The festival of Diwali is a time of joy, happiness and beautiful festive cheer. It’s a time when the city lights up in celebration. You meet up with relatives, catch up with friends, exchange gifts, and enjoy an unending variety of sweets. City folks celebrate the festival of lights with fervour. Dressed up in new clothes, folks light up lamps and candles and participate in puja worshipping goddess Lakshmi. After puja, fireworks follow, and a family feast that includes exchange of sweets and gifts between family members, friends and loved ones. Rangoli is likewise an incredible fascination on Diwali celebration. Residents of various colonies celebrate the day with their neighbours as well. Women were seen together, drawing beautiful rangolis and enjoying the day to the fullest.
