Sand mine collapsed, two killd

Dewas : At-least two persons were killed, when a sand mine collapsed near Kali Sindh river at Bhuteshwar under Pipalranwan police station near here on Tuesday. Both the deceased had gone to dig out sand for their personal uses and during the digging, the sand mine collapsed and they buried in the sand.

The deceased were identified Ayub (35) son of Jumman Khan and Sonu (16), son of Manjoor Khan. After receiving the information from Janpad office, the Pipalranwan police reached at the spot and brought out them from the sand. Various administrative officials like SDM, SDOP, tehsildar and police station in-charge were also reached at the spot. After doing the postmortem, bodies were handed over to their kin.

The Pipalranwan police registered the case and started further investigations. Collector Mahesh Agrawal instructed the officials concerned to give ex-gratia of Rs 1.5 lakh to the kin of deceased after preparing the relief case.
