Indore : Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu has agreed to give more train facilities to the city soon. Indore-Pune express will be available on all 7days while the frequency of Indore-Patna train will be increased by a day. The minister also agreed to run Indore-Kochuveli as a special train.
The Union minister gave in principle approval to the proposals, on Monday. Earlier in the day, he met Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan at latter’s office. Mahajan raised the issue of 3 trains before Prabhu, who immediately gave approval to the proposal.
Sources said that now the proposals would be placed before the Railway Board for final approval and thereafter the details would be made public. As per the proposals, Indore-Pune train will be made a daily train.
Now, it will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays too at different time and train no. The railway minister also increased the frequency of Indore-Patna train by a day. Indore-Kochuveli resumes operation
Indore-Kochuveli-Indore via Goa train will resume its operation again as a festival special train. Owing to Onam in Kerala and Ganeshotsav in Goa, the train will run again as a special train.
