Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): Some youth allegedly changed the name of Ambemata temple to Kahkasha mosque on Google Maps. The youths belong to Bhadwasa village in Namli town of Ratlam district.
Later, the screenshots of the Google Map went viral creating tension in the village.
Agitated residents collectively reached the Namli police station and filed a complaint against unknown youths. As per villagers, youths belonging to the village have tampered with the names of religious places on Google Map, to spread communal disharmony and hatred. Later, the name of the mosque was removed and reedited as Temple.
Google Map offers options to add a location and address or edit or correct locations. Further investigation into the matter has been launched. Appropriate action will be taken against those found guilty following an investigation into the matter.
