Ratlam: Leprosy patients vaccinated at homes with the help of Deendayal Vichar Manch

Ratlam: Leprosy patients were today vaccinated against Covid-19 here with the help of Deendayal Vichar Manch (DVM). Giving this information today DVM President Ashok Jain Chautala said that a camp was held at Moti Nagar (Kushta Basti) where 66 persons were vaccinated by giving them first dose. He said that some of the beneficiaries were not in position to reach to the camp venue due to their health condition hence they were got vaccinated at their homes. When the team of Health department reached for vaccination including Leprosy department incharge Sharad Shukla, Physiotherapist Priyanka Herald, ANM Vandana Gurjar, data Entry operator Lakshya Devda they were garlanded by the members of DVM. Kushta Samiti President Parwatibai, Premsingh Chouhan, Mangilal Thakur, DVM President Ashok Jain Chautala, Shyamlal Reda, Gaurav Jain were present to support the initiative.

INITIATIVE TO AVOID CHAOS

At the four polling centre of Ward No.33 vaccination against Covid-19 took place so as to avert the chaos which has marred the vaccination drive in the city. Ratlam city SDM Abhishek Gehlot said that from Thursday the new system of vaccination has been launched so as to avert chaos like situation and to maintain proper control and check. He said that under the new system a BLO level officer will remain present at the vaccination centre to verify the documents of beneficiary. Now only beneficiary of a particular ward will get jabs at the vaccination centre. He said that if the new system of vaccination manages to curb the chaos then it will be implemented in the whole city. For residents of ward No 33 vaccination was held at the two polling centres Lions hall and Gujrati School.
