Jaora (Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh): Jaora Civil Hospital is now prepared to combat Covid-19 as per reports from the area.
As per reports, the corona infection made the hospital management realise how backward they were in health facilities. After facing the first and second wave of corona, now the hospital is prepared for the third wave.
“Now, there will be no dearth of oxygen, beds and tests will be conducted smoothly in the hospital. However, if there are more ventilators in an emergency then the hospital can have facilities at par with the district hospital,” civil hospital sources said.
The first wave of corona infection was overcome with the lockdown. The second wave of corona exposed the health facilities. No digital x-ray machines, no hi-tech lab, no oxygen system and no adequate beds were available. At present, most if these facilities have been added.
Though the health facilities have been improved but posts of doctors remain to be filled. Ventilators too are needed to handle critical patients. Since civil hospital has responsibility of 147 villages including 30 municipal wards, more doctors and staff are required. If this issue is not taken care of, the difficulty of existing staff will increase in third wave of Covid-19.
