Police force raids to nab murder accused, returns with other 5

Nagda: Around two dozen police jawans raided in the ‘Balaram ki kutia’ locality on Sunday night at around 9 p.m. under the direction of TI Gopal Parmar. Hence, the area was converted in a police camp for hours. The force came here to arrest the notorious murder-accused Nasir Lala in connection of the firing incident of February 19, in which an innocent commuter youth Vinod was killed, while the target was someone else.

Police conducted a massive search drive for around two and a half hour, but could not succeed in finding Nasir. However, they arrested five other persons, including Nasir’s family members for keeping illegal weapons. Police seized some weapons from the five accused and filed cases, under section 25 Arms Act.

According to police sources, the raid was carried out after getting information from an informer. They also said that, police was in search of Nasir Lala in connection of many cases, besides murder and they will continue to try for his arrest. Sources also said that, the firing incident of February 19 was related with the murder of a youth Juber, in Prakash Cinema. Nasir and his allies had attacked with guns in Mirchi Bazar area, in the broad day light.

They reached inside the house of Salim Takla, with the objective of frightening the witnesses of Juber’s murder case. Nasir and his allies fired there and during the firing, bullets injured an innocent commuter youth Vinod and he died.
One ally of Nasir named Asif was also injured in that firing. Police is still in search of Nasir and they have also declared a reward of Rs. 5000 for him.
