Observers, admn take stock of counting center

Indore: After the standing committee meeting at the Collectorate on Tuesday, the election observers, officials of the district administration and police straight away went to counting centre, Nehru Stadium. They took stock of the distribution of election material, strong room and vote counting arrangements and also issued necessary instructions to the officers.

District Election Officer and Collector Akash Tripathi, DIG Rakesh Gupta, SP ( headquarters) Anil Sharma and others were present during the visit. Instructions regarding security of strong room, EVMs and important documents were given to the respective officials.

Basic facilities for voters at polling booth In all 53,944 polling booths in the State, ramp, toilet and drinking water facilities would be made available for voters. In 230 constituencies of the State, polling booths have been set up at government and semi- government buildings. Separate queues for men and women would be there. Electoral list consisting photos of voters would also be distributed for the first time.
