Novo Nordisk, Synergy Hospital celebrate Nurses Day

Indore: International Nurses day was celebrated by lighting lamp by Mr. Anil Jain, Chairman, Dr. Subodh Jain, MD, Dr. Sandeep Julka, & Dr. Rituraj Sharma Synergy Hospital, Indore. Dr. Rituraj Sharma gave training on Insulin and Device demonstration to Hospital staff. The event culminated with a contest for the nurses and certificates for participating in the training on Insulin and Device demonstration were handed over to all participants by Dr. Subodh Jain, MD, Mr. Anil Jain, Chairman, Synergy Hospital, Indore.

Nurses are at the core of any healthcare system, performing high level clinical and non-clinical duties across patients stay in the hospital. It is therefore critical that nurses and para-medical staff are empowered with the latest trends and knowledge on best healthcare practices.

In line with this thought, Novo Nordisk India in association with Synergy Hospital organized a unique programme to educate nurses on the occasion of International Nurse Day. The programme included a counseling and training session by a team of experts/consultants on Diabetes education, Insulin usage and device demonstration among others. The event which is a part of a Pan-India programme reached out to over 60 corporate hospitals across India and educated over 3000 nurses on various aspects of helping people with diabetes understand the condition better and also evaluate and analyse their psychosocial needs.
