In continuation of Anti-Drug operations, officers of the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Preventive and Intelligence cell Singoli based on specific intelligence intercepted a Renault Duster car and recovered approximately 206 kilograms of Ganja (cannabis) on Wednesday late evening.
The car had the registration number of Rajasthan and carried a huge quantity of Ganja and was intercepted near a village close to Rawatbhata.
Detailed examination resulted in the recovery of 103 packets wrapped in Brown adhesive tape. Approximately 206 kilograms of Ganja were recovered from these packets which were subsequently seized. Two persons were also arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Further investigation is in progress.
Notably, this is the second major seizure within 48 hours. Earlier, on Tuesday, CBN conducted searches at three medical stores and residential premises of one medical store owner in Nimbaheda and recovered large quantities of different types of Psychotropic Substances & Narcotics Drugs including 12585 Alprazolam tablets, 9104 Tramadol tablets, five Tramadol Injections and 213 Codeine Phosphate syrup bottles.
