Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): Neemuch police on Thursday arrested a person in connection with the firing on former corporator Ramesh Mali, 55.

According to information, police arrested one Kanha alias Aman Narvale, a resident of Rajiv Nagar, Neemuch Cantt.

Mali was injured after being fired upon by an airgun on Wednesday in Ward 14. At the time of the incident, he was heading toward the polling booth in Rajiv Nagar to vote.

He claimed that a shrapnel pierced his thighs after which he immediately reached the district hospital, where doctors removed the shrapnel.

Meanwhile, Aman informed police that he had no intention to hurt anyone as he uses his airgun to scatter the pigeons. Even on Wednesday, he fired to scatter the pigeons, but it mistakenly hit Mali. Based on the information provided by Aman, police recovered the gun and the case has been registered against him under relevant sections.
