Nagda (Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh): A meeting to review status of vaccination was held here on Saturday, which City Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratnakar presided over.
At the meeting, he said special arrangements are being made for vaccination of pregnant and lactating women under new guideline on Tuesdays and Fridays. Tehsildar Ashish Khare, Block Medical Officer Dr Kamal Solanki and Covid Nodal Officer Dr Sanjeev Kumrawat were present at the meeting.
1,899 vaccines administered
On Saturday, 1899 vaccines were administered to people at 11 centres, according to Covid Nodal Officer Dr Sanjeev Kumrawat and BMO Dr Kamal Solanki. About 159 people were vaccinated in Saraswati School Government Colony, 157 got vaccinated at Grasim Sports Complex, Birlagram, 165 got inoculated at Gurukul School in Prakash Nagar, 153 got vaccinated in Block 56 (Ram Mandir), 288 got vaccinated at Day Care Centre in Shri Ram Colony (Reserve Front Line), 209 got vaccinated in front of Girls School (first and second dose for 45 plus) while 209 were inoculated at UPHC Ramlila Maidan.
Similarly, 220 vaccines were administered at community hall in Unhel. In rural areas too, three centres were set up on Saturday. In all, 156 people were vaccinated in Nayan village, 200 in Hidi village and 163 in Karnawad village.
