Khetia (Madhya Pradesh): Shahada police recovered 17 tolas of gold jewellery, worth Rs 7.2 lakh, stolen during a marriage ceremony at Balaji Lance in Nandurbar district, Maharashtra. The incident occurred when Rohan Mohan Singh Rajput, a teacher from Shindkheda, attended the wedding with his family.

While his sisters were taking pictures, an unknown thief stole the gold jewellery and two mobile phones from Rajput's purse, which was left on a chair. Upon receiving the report, inspector Rajan More of Shahada police station initiated an investigation. Nandurbar SP Shravan Dutt directed the team to act swiftly.

After gathering intelligence, the police suspected the involvement of the Sansi gang from Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh. A dedicated police team was dispatched to Rajgarh, where they spent a week searching for the suspects: Ritesh Prabhat, Babu Vikram Kadiyan and Juhi Balkishan Kadiyan. Despite extensive efforts, the accused were not located initially. However, police interrogated the mother of one suspect, Savitri Bai, which led to the recovery of the stolen gold jewellery.

The successful operation has garnered praise for the Shahada police, highlighting the effective collaboration under the guidance of SP Dutt and his team, including ASP Ashit Kamble and inspector Rajan More. Their diligence in solving the theft case, which occurred on November 22, has been commended by the community.
