MP News: 25-Year-Old Woman Stuck In Well, Rescued After Four Hours In Barwani

Police officers, municipal council workers, and villagers jointly carried out the rescue. The woman said she had been in the well since 3 am. Her parents live in Malkatar and her in-laws in Gongwada. Barwani (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old woman jumped into a well in Pansemal tehsil of Barwani district following a dispute at her in-laws’ home. She held on to a passage inside the well for nearly four hours before villagers and police rescued her safely.

The incident occurred on Kharki Road in Pansemal. Farm owner Montu reached his field in the morning and noticed something unusual near the well. On checking, he found the woman inside and immediately dialled 112. Police reached the spot and lowered a cot tied with ropes into the well to pull her out. She was taken to a government hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.

Two dead as car falls into ditch in Barwani

Two people were killed and two others seriously injured after a car fell into a ditch at Walpur Ghat in Barwani district on Friday.

According to Pati police station in-charge Ramdas Yadav, the driver fell asleep at the wheel, lost control of the vehicle and plunged into a deep ditch along the ghat road.

The deceased have been identified as Vikram Solanki, 29 and Sakriya Nigwal, 42. The two other occupants were pulled out of the wreckage and rushed to hospital, where they are undergoing treatment for serious injuries.

Police said the occupants were returning home after admitting a patient at Barwani district hospital when the accident occurred.

On receiving information, police and local villagers rushed to the spot and carried out the rescue operation. The bodies were handed over to the families after completion of legal formalities. Police have registered a case and started further investigation.
