Indore : After almost seven hours of panic in BJP, Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe took back his resignation after a meeting with minister of urban administration, Kailash Vijayvargiya here at his residence on Thursday. Several senior party leaders called him following his surprise decision and finally Moghe was convinced to withdraw his resignation.Earlier in the day, Mayor called up a press conference at the IMC auditorium. While describing about the works carried out by the IMC during his reign, Moghe abruptly declared his resignation. The declaration came as surprise to everyone and caused panic within the party.
It was found that the resignation was a result of the comments passed by the senior leaders of BJP, questioning the working of IMC during a recent meeting at the Residency Kothi that left a dark scar on Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe’s stint.
While talking to media Moghe said that the party registered a huge win in the elections and the MLAs might want the works in a higher rate which he thinks is not fulfilled by him. He further added that “I don’t want to be a roadblock in the developmental works of the city”

Later in the day, huge crowd of MLAs and other party workers gathered at his residence to persuade him from his decision. Senior leaders reached at the Mayor’s residence and tried to convince him but Moghe remained stick to his decision. Senior leaders of the party including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, MP Sumitra Mahajan and minister Kailash Vijayvargiya tried to convince him over phone but in vain. It is found that the CM had called Vijaywargiya and asked him to convince Moghe and thus Vijayvargiya reached at Mayor’s house and convinced him to take back his resignation.
