Gujarat development model is fake & Modi works only for capitalists

Ratlam: There are many similarities between Narendra Modi and Hitler of Germany. Fascist attitude, which Hitler had demonstrated being now repeated by Narendra Modi. All India Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh said this while talking to media persons here on Friday.

Singh lashed out at Narendra Modi and leveled many charges against him but had shown soft corner towards remaining other BJP leaders. BJP has forgotten the principles of Pundit Deendayal Upadhyay, he asserted. Digvijay Singh said that Gujarat Model of development is fake and the reality is something different and eye opening.

Digvijay Singh accepted that Congress is facing the anti-incumbency factor in the parliament elections but declined to foresee the outcome of that in parliament election results. He said that regional parties have destabilised the country always. When asked he accepted that Congress could not convince the people about the realities of the charges under the scams like Coal-gate, 2-G and other such scams and this went wrong against Congress.

But, he said that survey reports exaggerated in favour of BJP and media has also gave much weight to BJP. 2004 and 2009 elections have proved that ground realities are different.Digvijay Singh said that BJP contested the parliament elections just like presidential form of government to take place and forgot the fact that our country has parliamentary form of Government.

He charged BJP that it spent huge sum of money in the elections and demanded from election commission that it should be assessed as to how much money BJP has spent in the parliament elections’ campaigning.

Former chief minister of MP Singh charged Narendra Modi that he had overcome above all the BJP leaders and party on the basis of money power. He alleged that utterances of Modi are for from realities and he charged that Modi had very little knowledge of History and Geography of the country.

He said that in BJP individual person has become important while the party has lost its place. He lashed out at the Gujarat Model and said that Gujarat Model meant supporting the capitalists. In Gujarat farmers were exploited and industrialists were protected. He said that allotment of the land to industrialists like Adani was at much lower rate comparing to what previous Gujarat government had given to Adani.

He alleged that for Tata Neno Plant not only the land was available at very cheap rate but Rs 10 thousand crores was given by Gujarat government as loan without interest. He said that the reality of Gujarat Model is that the state was lagging behind in literacy and health.

Gujarat state had no borrowing in the year 1995 which has now gone up to Rs 142000 crores which is highest after Bengal and UP. The Governance has lost its meaning and officials ere being sent to Jail on false grounds. He said that Narendra Modi starts his speech from development and ends at the communalism.

Singh urged the Election Commission to take immediate actions against Narendra Modi for his violation of the Code of Conduct in the election meeting at Faizabad where on the stage the picture of Bhagwan Ram was depicted. He defended the decision of Banaras administration and said that the denial of the holding of rally was essential for the law and order situation of Banaras.

When asked he said that he was given responsibilities of Goa, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh  and not active in MP after 2003 as he was given responsibilities of other states.
