Mhow: Enthusiasm among GCs at passing out parade

Mhow: To commemorate the momentous event of commissioning as officers, a passing out parade of the technical entry scheme (TES) of Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow was conducted on Saturday with full military grandeur.

The reviewing officer was Lt Gen M U Nair, SM, commandant, Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) and Colonel Commandant, Corps of Signals. Despite stringent measures on account of the COVID-19 pandemic, the passingout parade was conducted with full elan and military decorum, keeping all safety precautions in mind.

The spirit and enthusiasm of the gentlemen cadets remain unparalleled and the pandemic effect did not dampen the pride felt by GCs as they passed out from their alma mater, as officers of the Indian Army, having put up a stellar display in the parade.

The awards were awarded by Lt Gen M U Nair, SM, Commandant, and Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) and Colonel Commandant Corps of Signals.

In his address to the Gentlemen Cadets, the Reviewing Officer congratulated the Passing out Course on completing the training and reminded them of what the nation expects from them, especially given the rapid technological advancements, prevailing counter-insurgency environment and the the stellar role the Army has been playing to ensure the territorial integrity of our nation.

WCC Rupesh Kumar Agar was the proud recipient of the Sword of Honour and amp; General Officer Commanding in Chief (GOC-in-C) Army Training Command (ARTRAC) Gold medal for standing first in overall merit among three Cadets Training. Karan Platoon won the coveted GOC-in-C ARTRAC Banner for standing First amongst the four Platoons during the Spring Term 2021 at Cadets Training Wing, Mhow.

merit at CTW, Mhow was awarded to WCC Rupesh Kumar Agar, PCC Abhishek Kumar was awarded Cadets Training Wing Silver medal and WCQM Rachit Laghate was awarded the Cadets Training Wing Bronze medal for standing second and third in merit respectively. It was a memorable occasion for GCs who were pipped as commissioned officers to the rank of ‘Lieutenant’ in a solemn ceremony.

The newly commissioned officers took their ‘Pehla Kadam’, an apt symbol for their first step into a new life ascommissioned officers ready to shoulder expectations and responsibilities towards the organisation and nation.
