Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): Election fever has gripped Mandsaur with party candidates leaving no stones unturned to make last-ditch efforts to persuade voters to vote in their favour ahead of the urban bodies election on July 6.
Congress leader Dr Raghvendra Singh Tomar campaigned door-to-door to mobilise voters in ward no 40 in favour of Congress candidate Nanubai Jagdish Jatiya.
During this, former district woman president Babita Singh Tomar pointed out the failures of the BJP-led government. She listened to the grievances of residents and assured them to resolve them promptly.
She also assured efficient conservation and management of water bodies such as Shivna River, and ponds. Scores of Congress leaders including councillor Jagdish Jatiya, ward in-charge Jitendra Dodiya, Raju Surah and others took part in the campaign.
BJP promises quick resolution of grievances
BJP leaders are making their last pitch to voters ahead of local body elections. The leaders are visiting key electoral battlegrounds before the polls on July 6.
Local MLA Yashpal Singh Sisodiya conducted a public outreach campaign here in ward no 6 to persuade voters to vote in favour of candidate Nirmala Naresh Chandwani.
Sisodiya listened to the grievances of voters and assured them to resolve them at the earliest and appealed for a landslide victory for the party candidate promising to develop the ward. The voters accorded a warm welcome to campaigners upon their arrival at Shastri Colony, Patil Colony, Mali Colony, Sethia Vihar, and Govind Nagar in the ward.
Mahila morcha district president Nirmala Gupta, former councillor Rashmi Rathore, Shweta Jain, Sapna Jain, Dolly Chandwani, Sarita Chandwani, Veena Motwani, Vijay Surana, election in-charge Mukesh Mali and other party workers were present.
