Madhya Pradesh: Temple land freed of encroachments after protest in Kharsod Kala village in Barnagar tehsil

The administration took action after local priests associated with Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti Dharma Samaj launched agitation to free the temple premises of encroachments.

Barnagar (Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh): A joint team led by district administration removed encroachments from the land belonging to Chhatri temple in Kharsod Kala village on Tuesday.

The administration took action after local priests associated with Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti Dharma Samaj launched agitation to free the temple premises of encroachments.

Disturbed by encroachment on the temple land, the devotees took the idol Lord Thakurji to Tehsil office. Seeing the idol, Tehsildar Suresh Nagar reached the spot and confiscated the construction material and asked patwari to demarcate the land.

As a result, the temple land was demarcated by patwari, girdawar in presence of police and temple land was freed from encroachments.

Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti Dharma Samaj thanked the administration and Tehsildar for the commendable work. Dharma Samaj state secretary Dr Vishnu Vaishnav, district executive president Ganesh Nath Yogi, Suresh Giri, Durgashankar Sharma and others have expressed gratitude, according to state organisation president Mahant Salgramdas Bairagi.
