Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): A woman lodged a complaint of rape and harassment against her husband and his friend at women's police station in Indore, and following investigations, Kanwan police have lodged an FIR.

The woman reported that after marrying in 2021, she discovered her husband was addicted to gambling and had taken a ₹8 lakh loan. He pressured her to borrow money and began abusing her when she refused.

Her husband's friend, Abhimanyu Singh, who lives in Delhi, was also involved in the harassment. The husband allegedly threatened the woman, saying she would have to sleep with Abhimanyu to repay the debt.

The woman stated that her husband took her to Delhi, where he forced her to stay with Abhimanyu, who raped her. This cycle of abuse continued, with her husband repeatedly pressuring her to have relations with Abhimanyu. Despite suffering injuries from the beatings, she remained silent out of fear.

Recently, when her husband again started pressuring her to meet Abhimanyu, she decided to file an FIR. The police have registered the case and are searching for both accused. Police station in-charge Abhay Nema stated that arrests will be made soon.
