Madhya Pradesh: Man Elopes With Daughter’s Mum-In-Law Twice, Thrashed In Alirajpur |

Alirajpur (Madhya Pradesh): In a bizarre case, a man was brutally thrashed for eloping with his daughter’s mother-in-law.

Nanpur police registered a case and filed an FIR of kidnapping and assault against 12 people on Thursday afternoon.

As per reports, Pratap Thavaliya's daughter Kali eloped with a youth from Rajawat village and married him. Later, members of both families sat and settled the matter and Kali started living happily with her in-laws. Pratap often used to visit his daughter in Rajawat village and this increased the fondness between him and his daughter’s mother-in-law and they decided to elope.

When the news of their elopement spread, members of the community became angry and they were brought back and the matter was resolved with Pratap paying a fine of Rs 1.30 lakh.

However, things did not end there for the two lovebirds! About eight days ago, the woman, without informing her family, went to Pratap’s place in Gujarat, where he works as a labourer. When they both returned to Alirajpur from Gujarat, Pratap was kidnapped by the woman’s side of the family on Wednesday.

He was taken to Rajawat village and brutally beaten up. Upon receiving information, Nanpur police rescued Pratap and admitted him to a hospital for treatment. A case was registered and all the accused were taken into police custody.
