Pipliya Mandi (Madhya Pradesh): A large crowd gathered in Pipliya Mandi as Shyamlal Jokchandra, who was upset about not receiving a Congress ticket from Malhargarh assembly constituency, demonstrated his political power through a nomination rally.
Jokchandra and thousands of supporters caused a significant jam before he filed nomination papers. A total of 28,000 workers contributed one rupee each to support his bid.
The main road in Pipliya Mandi was congested due to the thousands of supporters, who gathered to witness the nomination rally, causing traffic snarls that extended to Narayangarh. The rally proceeded to Malhargarh via several locations.
After filing his nomination papers before the Malhargarh presiding officer, Jokchandra spoke to a group of supporters at the intersection of Malhargarh Kaka Gadgil. He emphasised that the election was not about him, but rather about the people of the Malhargarh constituency.
Jokchandra highlighted his 25-year commitment to the constituency and his dedication to seeking justice for its residents. Jokchandra declared that his relationship with the people of Malhargarh went beyond that of a candidate and voter; it was a familial connection.
The thousands in attendance expressed their support for Jokchandra's candidacy, raising their hands in approval. He pledged to contest the election either as the party's candidate or as an independent candidate, determined to fight for the interests of the people.
