Madhya Pradesh: Irregularities found in laying of pipelines in Barwani under Nal Jal Yojana

Barwani: During an inspection on Friday, many irregularities have come to light in the Nal Jal Yojana which aims to provide drinking water to villagers.

On the orders of the district collector SDM Ghanshyam Dhangar conducted an inspection and found that due to the negligence of the implementing agency and monitoring agency- the irregularities are rampant in Nal Jal Yojana in Pati and many villages of Barwani area of ????Barwani subdivision.

He found that pipelines were to be laid 90 cm deep in the ground but they were laid only 50 to 60 cm deep. These pipelines can be damaged by people or animals and it may cause trouble in future.

SDM has submitted a detailed inquiry report to the collector regarding irregularities in the scheme for further action. The collector in turn has written to the government for action.
