Khetia (Madhya Pradesh): Over 35 children at Fulji Faliya Primary School under Jalyapani panchayat face the daily ordeal of attending classes in a room without a roof.

When it rains, children cannot attend classes. Teachers move to a local’s house, but there is not enough space for all the students to sit comfortably.

The school building has serious problems - no roof protection from rain and sun, broken walls that need repair, and toilets that do not work. These conditions make learning very difficult for young students.

Many teachers do not come to school regularly. Locals claimed that teachers sometimes show up late or skip days completely. When Free Press representative visited the school, one of the teachers arrived at 11:45 am, even though school starts at 10:30 am. The teacher also admitted to arriving late daily.

Teacher Gopal Dhurve said that the building is dilapidating. "Only 12 to 15 students out of 35 come to school regularly," he added. The incomplete construction makes it hard to hold proper classes.

Parents in this remote area have no other school for their children. They want the government to fix the building and make sure teachers come every day.

Village residents say they are forced to send children to this broken school because they have no choice. They ask education officials to solve these problems quickly before more children lose interest in learning.
