Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh): The district administration held meeting on Friday to review mega vaccination drive launched on June 21 and decided that it aims to achieve 100 per cent inoculation by the time campaign ends on July 1.
The meeting was presided over by SDM Mamta Kheda. Few points to achieve the target were discussed. Booth level officers and Aanganwadi workers have been told to go door-to-door to contact people and confirm how many people have taken the first and second dose of anti-Covid vaccine. So far, 70% of people in Khandwa have received anti-Covid jab.
On the last day of the vaccination campaign, special efforts will be made to get everyone vaccinated. A rally will be taken out in the city, which will start from the collector's office. Special attention will be given to vaccination in areas where the percentage of vaccination is low.
Pink camps will be set up where only women will be vaccinated and the staff will also comprise women. Along with this, cooperation of public representatives, social and religious organisations will be sought.
District vaccination incharge, Dr Sethia, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Chandra Mishra, Tehsildar Pratap Singh Agasya and many other officials were present in the meeting.
