Indore : Gold jewellery of a woman was removed when she died in a hospital during treatment. The woman’s son has filed a complaint with MIG police and they are investigating the matter.
According to MIG police, the complaint was filed by Priyadarshan Choure, a resident of Abhinandan Nagar. Choure stated that his mother Nirmaladevi (68) was admitted to CHL Hospital on December 8.
Choure said that his mother was diagnosed with leukemia and was admitted into ICU for treatment. However, she died on December 12. As the family prepared to take the body home, they noticed gold bangles and earrings worn by the woman missing.
Choure suspected that someone in the hospital stole the jewellery and as they hailed from Khandwa, they had gone there to conduct the last rites and he filed the complaint when he came back to the city. Choure stays in Abhinandan Nagar and is employed at a private hospital.
The police have registered the case and are investigating. They are also sifting through CCTV footage to identify the thief if possible.
