1120 students get PI calls

Indore: Indian Institute of Management Indore on Saturday announced results of the aptitude test of its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), an after-school course offered only by the premier B-school in Indore.Based on the scores of the test, the institute has shortlisted 1120 students who have been invited for personal interviews (PI) to be conducted from June 3-6.

According to coaching centres here, nearly 40 students from the city and about 150 from the state have been called for the PI. Convener of the IPM-2014, Rohit Kapoor said that the candidates have been shorlisted in the ratio of 1:10 category-wise. That means a total of 1120 candidates against 120 seats in the IPM have been invited for the PI.The admissions in the IPM are done in two stages. In the first stage aptitude test is held for which the weightage is 60 marks and in the second stage personal interviews are conducted. For PI the total weightage is 40 marks.

Final selection will be based on the overall performance of the applicant in AT and PI. The final selection list would be released on June 16. As per pre-decided timeline, the AT results were to be announced on May 26 but the institute released the results two days ahead. The IPM course, the first of its kind in the country, is launched by the IIM Indore. It is a unique and creative programme to meet the aspirations of young students to become management professionals, change agents and societal leaders.  IPM, a residential programme, is aimed at students who have passed Class XII.
