Inodre: I-T raid on 4 masala units yields Rs 4.64 crore

Indore: The income tax surveys carried out at premises of four spices manufacturers have unearthed unaccounted income of Rs 4.64 crore. More than 20 officials of department launched simultaneous surveys on Wednesday against units of Dave ka Divya Garam Masala, Dhamecha Masala, Neelam and Kamal Masala and its distributor, covering their 10 locations in the city. The surveys continued till Friday late night.

Sources said owner of Dave Masala surrender unaudited income of Rs 1.5 crore. During the survey, it was revealed that a large volume of trade was going on paper chits as no bills were issued. Kamal Masala also surrendered Rs 1.50 crore, Dhamecha surrendered Rs 50 lakh while Neelam Masala surrendered Rs 1.14 crore.
