Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A group of youths misbehaved with police officers patrolling the area in the wee hours of Thursday. The accused not only kicked the police vehicle, but also tore the uniform of a policeman. They were drunk and used abusive language. The police arrested five youths and booked them under various sections of the IPC.
Lasudia police station-in-charge Santosh Kumar Dudhi said that, when the policemen were patrolling the area, they found some youths arguing with passersby in an inebriated condition near a bar at Dewas Naka around 2.20 am.
When the police officers stopped them and told them to leave the place, the accused started abusing the police officers. The policemen informed the police control-room after which a Fast Response Vehicle (FRV) reached the spot. The youths were still creating a ruckus and they also kicked the police vehicle. Nikhil Jat, a police constable posted at AJK police station in the city, informed the Lasudia police that they also tore his uniform and slapped him.
The five people arrested were Labhi Khare, Karan, Muved Singh, Dev Chouhan and Amit.
Constable Nikhil, in his complaint, said that he was patrolling the area with ACP Ashish Patel and the accused also misbehaved with ACP Patel. The accused were booked under sections 353, 323, 294, 427 and 34 of the IPC. Further investigations are underway in the case.
