Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Company claimed that its LTMT laboratory located at its headquarters in Pologround area has been upgraded as per requirements of National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratory (NABL) and soon it may get NABL certificate.
“The power company is making concerted efforts to ensure consumer satisfaction and quality metering work. The work of checking the meters is also being done on the application of the consumers at the meter testing lab,” a release issued by West Discom said.
“In the last two months, meters have been checked on request of 1000 consumers in Indore district. On Monday and Thursday, the electricity company tests the meter in front of the consumers concerned, for transparency and for the satisfaction of the consumer,” the release added.
West Discom managing director Amit Tomar said that the state-of-the-art lab is giving accurate results. Tomar said that the engineers had worked hard to achieve NABL certificate. “After Indore's Cable, Conductor, Transformer Testing Lab and Ujjain's LTMT Lab, now Indore's LTMT Lab is expected to get NABL certificate,” he added.
