Indore: Three held for robbing trader of Rs 45,000

Indore: City police on Saturday arrested three persons for snatching a bag containing Rs 45,000 from a trader in Aerodrome area. Aerodrome police station incharge Ashok Patidar said trader of Suvidhi Nagar was robbed of Rs 45,000 by three bike-born youths in the night of February 10. A team was constituted by senior police officials to trace the robbers.

The team was working on it when a tip-off was received that three suspects are moving on Super Corridor near Chhota Bangarda after which police team reached the mentioned place when the accused tried to flee seeing police. However, police managed to nab them after a long chase. Accused identified as Ganesh alias Billi Singh of Nandbagh Colony, Ritik Bairagi of Nandbagh Colony and Shubham Badodiya of Sector D in Banganga.

They could not produce papers of bike they were riding. In sustained questioning, the accused confessed to rob the trader after the recce. They knew trader will pass from the area. As per the plan, the accused said hello and snatched his bag containing money. Trader cried for help after which people gathered but accused fled. A bike and some cash were recovered from accused. Police said accused had snatched mobile phone from a person in Banganga area few months back.
