Indore: Theft at three places including ATM; cash, goods worth Rs 23,000 stolen

Indore: Thieve targeted three places including a bank ATM booth and managed to flee with cash and other goods worth Rs 23,000 on Sunday. Accused damaged machine and CCTV in the ATM booth. Three masked persons have been captured in a CCTV installed on the shop.

The incident took place in Sangam Nagar at 2.30 am. Thieves entered the ATM booth of Bank Of India and they first damaged CCTV installed in the booth before committing crime. Aerodrome police station incharge Ashok Patidar said thieves tried to break open the cash box of machine but failed. However, they damaged monitor and cash dispenser of the machine.

After a failed attempt of theft, the accused entered a shop named Ashish Super Bazaar in front of ATM booth and decamped with cash and DVR worth Rs 23,000 from there. Police said three persons were captured in CCTV installed in the shop but the accused had worn woollen caps and their faces were covered with a cloth. As a result, they could not be identified. After that, thieves targeted third shop of Nitin Shrivastav in the same area and managed to flee with cash from there.
