Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company has given instructions to all the 15 superintending engineers to make suitable arrangements for electricity at the polling stations for the local elections.
West Discom managing director Amit Tomar said that, according to the orders of the State Election Commission, the electricity arrangements at the polling stations had been reviewed.
At the centres where there is no permanent electricity connection, temporary connections have been established. So far, temporary connections have been given to 680 polling stations located in tribal-dominated and other remote areas of the company area. The number of polling stations in the company area is about 21,000.
