Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The stray dog menace in Indore continues to grow unchecked, with fresh CCTV footage from Manik Bagh and Venkatesh Nagar showing shocking attacks on a child and a young woman.

The disturbing visuals have reignited public anger, as civic authorities remain silent despite repeated incidents.

In the videos, stray dogs are seen viciously attacking and biting pedestrians without any provocation. These recent cases add to a growing list of similar attacks in the city, raising serious concerns about public safety, especially for children, women, and the elderly.

This comes just days after a college student was mauled by four stray dogs in the Shri Nagar Extension area while on her way to an exam early in the morning.

The entire attack was captured on CCTV, showing how the dogs knocked the girl down, bit her legs, and returned in a group for a second assault. She was left seriously wounded and traumatised, and had to be rescued by a friend.

Despite repeated attacks, viral videos, and mounting fear among residents, the administration has yet to take meaningful action. No clear plan for dog control, sterilisation, or relocation has been communicated by the authorities, prompting public outrage.

Locals and social media users have slammed the inaction, questioning how many more victims it will take for the system to respond.

As the situation worsens, Indore’s citizens demand urgent intervention, strict implementation of animal control policies, and a balance between public safety and humane animal treatment.
