Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore has witnessed a 20% reduction in electricity-related complaints, reflecting improved service quality and proactive communication with consumers, according to officials from Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company.

As of May 26, complaints in Indore were down by one-fifth compared to the same day the previous week (Monday, June 2). The drop is attributed to a combination of better maintenance practices and timely communication with consumers about scheduled power shutdowns.

Notifications are being sent through multiple channels including SMS, WhatsApp, the Urja App and social media platforms.

West Discom chief general manager Prakash Singh Chauhan said, “The reduction in complaints is the result of serious work being done on consumer facilities.”

Consumers now have several ways to lodge complaints, including the Urja App, the 1912 call centre, the official website mpwz.co.in, as well as directly at zone and distribution centres.

In the last 24 hours alone, 572 electricity supply-related complaints across the company’s service area were resolved through the Urja App, 377 of which were from Indore city.
