Indore: Only 43 patients left at Maa Ahilya Covid Care Centre, 94 % of patients recovered

Indore: Only 43 Covid-19 patients are remaining in the Maa Ahilya Covid Care Centre which has proven as an effective initiative by the district administration in battling the pandemic.

Covid nodal officer Dr Amit Malakar said on Thursday that only 43 patients are under treatment in the centre.


“Patients in-and-out has not ended and patients are still coming and many are getting discharged from the centre after recovery. On an average, a total of 70-80 patients outflow and inflow are there at the centre daily”, he added.

“The management at the centre and treatment is the same as it was when there were hundreds of patients ”, he added.

Around 3,200 people have been admitted to the centre so far. Out of the total, over 94 per cent of people have recovered and 141 have been admitted to hospitals for more intensive treatment.

According to the officials over 483 people were under treatment in the Centre till the end of May and within the span of 18 days only 43 people are left in the centre who are undergoing treatment.

All the patients are now admitted in B-Block and the staff has started winding up the set up of beds and other things from the other blocks.
