Indore Municipal Corporation To Present Proposal For Recruitment Of 283 Differently-Abled Candidates

A seven-member committee was formed to oversee the recruitment process for 283 reserved positions for differently-abled individuals.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A proposal regarding the recruitment of 283 reserved positions for differently-abled individuals in IMC will soon be presented for approval. This issue was discussed in Thursday's meeting of the General Administration Committee, chaired by MiC member Nandkishore Pahadiya. 

Various departmental officers and members attended the meeting, including  Bharat Singh Raghuvanshi,  Bhavna Chaudhary, Sangita Mahesh Joshi, Malkhan Singh Kataria, Dr. Keshavdutt Sagar and Pradeep Dubey. A seven-member committee was formed to oversee the recruitment process for 283 reserved positions for differently-abled individuals.

The committee included additional commissioners Manoj Pathak,  Rajnan Dankawar, Devdhar Darbai, Ajit Banwaria and  Suchita Tikri Bank, along with Dr. K.S.S. Sagar (Deputy Chairman) and Abhinav Janved (representative from the Urban Development Committee).

During the meeting, it was revealed that a total of 7,764 applications were received for various posts reserved for differently-abled individuals. Out of these, 3,480 candidates were declared eligible. Following objections and claims, 421 appeals were reviewed and 235 candidates were found eligible.

In total, 4,284 applicants qualified based on merit and disability criteria, and a final list of 283 selected candidates was prepared. This list will be available on the UTD website soon.

Officials have been directed to ensure transparency and compliance in the recruitment process. The final proposal will be presented in the upcoming Mayor-in-Council meeting in March for further approval.
