Indore: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly molested in Pardeshipura on Saturday. Accused stopped the girl and held her hand. A search is on for the accused. According to police, the victim stated in her complaint that accused named Amit has been harassing her for many days.

On Saturday, she was returning home when the accused stalked her and stopped her. He later held her hand and asked her to talk to him. Accused fled as girl cried for help but not before threatening her. The police have booked the accused under Sections 354, 354-D, 341, 506 and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO).

Sexual harassment
Police booked a youth for harassing a girl by sending messages on her mobile phone in Bhanwarkuan on Saturday. According to police, Burhanpur resident Manish Malviya was booked on the complaint of a 30-year-old girl. She stated in her complaint that Manish was her friend but she had broken the friendship over some issue. She had lodged a complaint with We Care For You cell of city police against the accused a year ago when the accused had compromised. Recently, he started sending messages to her again. The police are investigating the case.
