Indore: A 3-day exhibition organised by All India Dal Mill Association ‘Grain X India’ began in the city on Friday. Dal Industries’ big giants have come from across the country to participate in this event. During the programme, innovative techniques of production of dal were demonstrated by the companies.
Former Mayor Krishnamurari Moghe, Suresh Agarwal, chairman of All India Dal Mill Association and Anil Surekha, secretary inaugurated the exhibition. Experts from abroad were also present on this occasion. Over 100 stalls in the exhibition have been kept for machine demo of foreign companies.
During this discussion on the availability of raw materials, impact of GST, challenges of packaging, other government policies and their dismantling were discussed. Agrawal demanded to the government that competing with countries like Sri Lanka etc in pulses trade, 5 per cent GST imposed over branded pulses should be removed.
