Late-Night Flight Operation To Be Shut Down From April 1

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Flight operations from 10.30 pm to 6.30 am from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar (DABH) Airport will be shut down from April 1, as the runway re-carpeting work will be carried out during this time. 14 flights operating during this period will be affected.

DABH Airport administration has issued a Notice to Airman (NOTAM) to airlines, informing about the new development.

Actually, the runway re-carpeting or repairing work had to start from the last month, but in view of the possible bad weather condition at the airport of northern India, the city airport was kept as reserve airport for diverted flights. Thus, Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) did not allow the work to start in the last month.

MP Lalwani Urges Union Minister To Speed Up Airport Development Work

Later, Lalwani informed that the meeting with the civil aviation minister was good and meaningful discussions were held on various projects in the context of the city. Soon the work related to the development of the city airport would gain momentum. He explained to the minister that the city was growing very fast and increasing facilities at the airport would boost development. MP Lalwani also demanded new domestic flights from the city airport.
